Abstract

The concept of Digital Twins (DTs) is revolutionizing urban planning by creating real-time, data-driven models of city infrastructure. This paper explores how digital twin technology, integrated with IoT, AI, and cloud computing, can optimize resource allocation, traffic management, and disaster response. Using case studies from smart city initiatives, we present a framework for designing and implementing digital twins in urban ecosystems. The study discusses the challenges of data integration, scalability, and cybersecurity while highlighting the potential of digital twins in sustainable and resilient city planning.
