From Farm to Table: Cross-Disciplinary Innovations in Sustainable Agriculture and Food Security
Abstract
This paper explores how interdisciplinary approaches are addressing the global challenges of sustainable agriculture and food security. By integrating insights from agronomy, environmental science, economics, and social policy, we examine innovative solutions such as precision farming, vertical agriculture, and blockchain-based supply chain transparency. Case studies from Australia and other regions highlight the role of collaboration between researchers, farmers, and policymakers in creating resilient food systems. The paper concludes with recommendations for scaling these innovations to ensure food security in the face of climate change and population growth.
