Climate Change Adaptation: A Cross-Disciplinary Framework for Resilient Communities
Abstract
Climate change poses unprecedented challenges to communities worldwide, requiring innovative and holistic solutions. This paper presents a cross-disciplinary framework for climate change adaptation, integrating perspectives from environmental science, urban planning, social sciences, and public health. Using examples from Australian coastal communities, we demonstrate how interdisciplinary collaboration can enhance resilience through strategies such as nature-based solutions, community engagement, and policy integration. The paper concludes with a call for greater investment in cross-disciplinary research to support adaptive capacity in vulnerable regions.
