Data Science in Education: Personalized Learning and Beyond
Abstract
Data science is transforming education by enabling personalized learning experiences and improving institutional decision-making. This paper investigates how data-driven approaches, such as learning analytics and adaptive learning systems, can enhance student outcomes and operational efficiency. By integrating data science with educational theory and psychology, we explore the potential of these technologies to address challenges such as equity, engagement, and retention. Case studies from Australian educational institutions illustrate the benefits and challenges of implementing data science in education.
